The guiding principles :
- To promote the concept of Ardenne Bleue more than ever before ;
- To recognise and strengthen the actions of other players in the promotion of tourism ;
- To strengthen the managerial control of the company .
Promotion of Ardenne bleue:
- Revamp of the www.ardenne-bleue.be website ;
- Taking part in, or creating, events under the Ardenne Bleue banner ;
- Sponsoring events within the framework and conditions laid down by the board of directors ;
- Publications with Ardenne Bleue as the headline ;
- Media communication in both the general and specialist press ;
- Development of a line of merchandising bearing the image of Ardenne Bleue.
Recognition and strengthening of the other players in the promotion of tourism :
- Creation of a coordination structure combining Aqualis, the Tourist Offices and the Provincial Federation of Tourism ;
- Starting a concerted programme of publishing brochures ;
- Financial support for Ardenne Bleue´s Tourist Offices ;
- Opening a shop window for tourism at the Verviers outlet mall site.
Strengthening tourism products :
- Development of Aqualis´ Business & Events activities ;
- Development of the tourism industry´s activities for the benefit of the local councils concerned ;
- Development of environmental products (this point is linked to the completion of the rationalisation process with the ACBV – the local council association for the Vesdre basin).
Organisation and management of Aqualis :
- To adapt the structures of the company under the terms of the local councils rationalisation process, decided by the government of Wallonia ;
- To maintain, and even increase, the workforce, provided it is linked to the development of tourism products ;
- Relocate the company´s head office.
